FAQ & Troubleshooting

This section answers common questions and provides practical guidance for resolving typical issues in CORA.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see different answers between Explore and Interpret?

Explore mode is designed for discovery across sources.
Interpret mode is anchored to a specific document and version.

If you need precise, version-locked answers, always use Interpret mode or work inside a Compliance Project.

Why is my answer missing citations?

This usually happens when: - The question is too broad or ambiguous - The system cannot reliably ground the answer in a specific source

To resolve this: - Rephrase the question more narrowly - Ask for a specific clause, article, or section - Open cited sources whenever accuracy matters

Answers without citations should be treated as unverified.

Troubleshooting

Uploading a document takes a long time

  • Large documents may require additional processing time
  • If possible, split very large files into smaller, logical parts
  • Ensure your network connection is stable during upload

I cannot find a document in the Library

  • Confirm the document exists in the CORA corpus available in your environment
  • Search using a document identifier (e.g., regulation number or standard code)
  • Use filters (document type, date, status) to narrow results

Project answers are not using the documents I expected

Check the following: - The relevant documents are linked to the project - You are asking questions inside the project (Project Context mode) - If available, the scope is not limited to a subset that excludes those documents

I opened a citation but the context feels wrong

  • Internal citations stay within the same document
  • External citations open a different document in a sub-tab
  • Verify which document and version you are currently working in before continuing

Still stuck?

If the issue persists: - Review the relevant mode documentation (Explore, Interpret, Project Context) - Check citation and grounding information - Contact your CORA administrator or support team
